Senior pictures are a very traditional feature of the graduation of thousands of young adults across the world. These photos will be kept for many years to come, will be framed by parents and grandparents and kept as a keepsake by the people whom feature in the pictures themselves. It is important that the photographs are taken well, as they mark a great memory in so many young adult’s pasts.
Hobbies and Interests – If the student was involved in a particular sport or class at school that they excelled in, show this in the photograph. The captain of the football team could be kitted up in his uniform and stood still near either to the touchline, or in action.
Show Their Personality – It is very traditional to have a background of books and a straight-faced student sat in front of them for their senior photograph. This does not have to be the case anymore and expression and personality can be brought into the picture. If they are outgoing, show them laughing, if they have many friends, you can feature them with their closest of friends in a more natural shot.
Casual is best – It is not often that you will find a young teenager who wears a suit every day, so why have them in one for their senior shot? It makes more sense for them to be comfortable and in their own casual clothes. This is firstly because they will look more themselves, but they will also be more relaxed and more likely to produce a winning photograph that the family will be proud of.
